The Federal Public Ministry (MPF) requested the closure of the investigation, which was conducted under judicial secrecy, initiated in Rio de Janeiro involving one of the largest entrepreneurs in the country's gambling world, the Portuguese Comendador Alfredo Jorge, majority shareholder of several gambling establishments throughout the country. With his death from cancer, the Criminal Investigation was terminated.
According to the MPF, there were strong indications regarding the heir, Comendador Roosevelt, considered the adopted son, who would be the absolute guardian of a fortune worth millions of dollars abroad under his guardianship, with the values being held in various foreign accounts. However, due to the complexity of the operations, the values were not located.
The MPF stated that Comendador Alfredo acted in a premeditated manner before his death, together with his heir, Comendador Roosevelt, as a way to leave no traces, evidence, or location of these funds.
